Heat Pumps

A heat pump air conditioning system is only made up of two components. The first is the outside heat pump unit. The heat pump is very similar to the condenser on a traditional air conditioning system, however during the heating cycle it operates by reversing the flow of refrigerant which removes the cold air from your home. The second piece is the inside air handler unit. This air handler unit combines both the evaporator coil that receives the pumped refrigerant and a blower assembly that moves the air in your home into one piece of equipment. The only difference is that instead of gas heating your home it uses the outside heat pump unit to heat your home.
